California Trinity University offers you a two years study of music degree (Master of Music) and two years study of Doctorate Degree (Doctors of Musical Arts) following the guidelines of The Federal Ministry of Education (USDOE). Moreover, our school offers you short-term non-degree programs for students such as the Performer Certificate, Artist Certificate, and Praise Worship Certificate for Church Worship Leader. Students can take degree or non-degree programs offered at our institution for your goals, dreams and/or visions. |

| Overview |
Building on technical proficiency, Graduate School of Music students enter into advanced opportunities that test musical agility and challenge mental dexterity. We offer the rigorous study of music associated with prestigious conservatories, with the added advantages of an outstanding liberal arts education.
The faculties and students in the Department of Music share a deep passion and common desire to achieve excellence in music. The department offers a wide spectrum of degree programs and options with an overall emphasis in musical performance. The curriculum provides basic preparation for careers in music, music education or further graduate study, and is designed to provide a balanced education in the many facets of musical experience. The Master of Music provides an avenue of graduate study for the highly creative composer or for the superior performer in a program tailored to each student¡¯s demonstrated talent and to each student¡¯s professional development. There are a total of 12 different types of concentration areas for our Masters in Music program. The graduate program leading to the Master of Music degree is designed to provide opportunity for a variety of advanced studies in music. In addition to the required courses, composition graduate students are assisted in the preparation of a thesis in the form of an original composition
California Trinity University¡¯s objectives for this program are to produce and develop each student¡¯s musical and intellectual potential to the highest level of individual capability. We will make sure all of our graduate students become effective and professional as performers, conductors, or music educators. |

| Introduction |
The program is reserved for the most highly gifted performers and is designed to provide experience and background needed for a career in performance and/or to embark upon doctoral study in music. The opportunity to perform comes with the responsibility to master the performance. The 36-credit hour Master of Music in Performance degree intensifies performance preparation for professional musicians seeking graduate-level training and experiential opportunities. Students benefit from concentrated interaction with School of Music faculties and outside professionals. Program requirements include core courses and specialization in one of the following: conducting, keyboard performance, vocal performance, instrumental performance, and keyboard collaborative arts.

| MISSION STATEMENT |
| As the primary advocate of professional education at California Trinity University, the Graduate School of Music is committed to supporting and advancing students to make meaningful contributions in the world as performers and scholars. Studies in music will expand the understanding and impact of music through faculty and student performance and research. The goal of the music program at this University is to develop highly-skilled musicians who are also broadly-educated, responsible citizens making a difference in society through connecting their art to a diverse world. The Masters in Music Objectives is to:
- Enhance the visibility of our music programs and increase and diversify our pool of applicants locally, nationally and internationally.
- Improve scholarly writing techniques and exemplary independent research capabilities.
- Broaden their knowledge of music history and theory that is essential with specific strengths in selected areas.
- Understand musical performance and performing competence in a selected area deeply.
- Be aware of musical pedagogy, bibliographies, materials, and literature indicative of a broad comprehensive musicianship. |
