Transfer Policy
The following guidelines apply to accepting transfer credits from other institutions:
Up to 100% transfer credit may be awarded for coursework and clinical instruction completed successfully at another acupuncture school or college which is approved by the California acupuncture board.
Up to 100% of credits earned at a nationally/regionally accredited college or university for western medicine courses, clinical sciences, public health, and professional development comparable to those offered by CTU will be accepted.
Only 50% of transfer credits earned at a California Acupuncture Board non-approved institution can be used to fulfill requirements for only up to 50% of the total course hours in individual subjects. These completed courses in acupuncture and Oriental Medicine classes, clinical practice course work will be credited by challenge exam or by transfer.
At least 75% of internship shall be in CTU. Graduates of California Acupuncture Board approved foreign schools eligible to sit for licensure examination must still complete 200 internship hours at CTU.
Prior to acceptance at CTU, the student must sign a Transfer Credit Agreement form which details and clarifies the respective responsibilities of the school and the student as to transfer credits. |
